Paul Phillips CMAHRI
Paul’s human resources management career extends over 30 years covering both corporate and consulting roles. After leaving New Zealand, he completed post graduate studies in the UK for membership of the Institute of Personnel and Development and worked in the central HR Department of the major telecommunications company, Cable and Wireless plc. During his seven years there, Paul also managed several overseas assignments implementing job evaluation, salary systems and professional HR practices in countries in the West Indies and the Middle East.


Since moving to Melbourne, Australia he has held senior roles in the private and public sectors. Whilst at Kraft Foods Ltd, in addition to his corporate role within Australia, Paul also had the opportunity to facilitate management training and development and business planning workshops in Asia. In his role as Deputy Chairman and Director Human Resources of the Country Fire Authority, Paul was able to demonstrate the vital nature of sound HRM practices from a general management perspective. In addition, Paul has worked as a consultant, providing HRM services to a range of local and international organizations, and is regularly retained as a resource speaker in Australia and Malaysia.

His work at both strategic and operational levels has involved planning, developing and implementing policies, procedures and practices in all areas of HRM.

With a background in accounting, Paul is well aware of the impact HRM can have on the bottom line of the business and his goal is to see that impact as a positive one in the organizations with which he works.


Christine Phillips
LLB (Hons)
With an honours degree in Law from the University of Warwick, UK, specialising in Labour Law and Industrial Relations and post graduate studies in IR at Brunel University, Chris has over 25 years experience in human resource management.


This includes several years in line management HR positions in the central HR Department of the major telecommunications company Cable & Wireless plc in the UK and with Nissan Motor Company in Melbourne, Australia. In addition, Chris has over 15 years consulting experience, in a human resources management capacity, with a number of international and local companies within Australia, as well as Malaysia. Hong Kong, New Zealand, USA and UK.

Chris has developed a reputation as a skilled facilitator and resource speaker and regularly runs management development programs and workshops ranging from strategic planning through to succession planning.

Chris sees her main contribution to the organizations she works with, as improving overall company performance through facilitating the continued improvement of employees’ performance within the organization.
