SUMMARY OF CONTENT
Participants are encouraged to think in terms of the required outcomes from any training opportunity: “What do we want people to do differently as a result of this coaching/training exercise?
A distinction is made between the objectives of this module and the separate modules on delegation and coaching
The concept of recognising different learning styles and selecting the appropriate delivery techniques to make training effective
A model for designing a training session is introduced
A five step model of job instruction is examined and opportunity provided to practice some skills
Checklists and reminders are provided to take away and apply
